7. Tower Heist

If for no other reason, the pairing of Ben Stiller and Eddie Murphy looks intriguing and the premise is sound. Extra points for the Ocean’s Eleven like feel.

 

6. The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo

The long anticipated American version of the bestselling novel hails from film crafter David Fincher. The trailer has excited fans and is incredibly hypnotic through this rhythmic editing.

 

5. Immortals

Featuring voice over by John Hurt, this newer trailer for Immortals paints the canvas. It gives you the full story set-up and players involved before, well, all mythological mayhem breaks loose.

 

4. The Three Musketeers

The much debated but undoubtedly interesting Three Musketeers has released two feature trailers. The first one remains our favorite with its unabashed energy and Assassin’s Creed like feel.

 

3. The Lady

In just over 50 short seconds: the first trailer for Luc Besson’s film conjures goosebumps and sets the stage for Michelle Yeoh’s epic performance as Aung San Suu Kyi.

 

2. Machine Gun Preacher

Marking a new direction for actor Gerard Butler, Preacher seems to have found a resonate enough drama to do the unthinkable. That being entering Mr. Butler into the Best Actor Oscar race.

 

1. Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows

Looks as fun as the original. Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law again look to be in top form as Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson with the addition of the intriguing Sim (Noomi Rapace).
