Checking on the latest entertainment offerings, here’s the ones, I feel, deserve extra attention.

1. The New Fast 6 Trailer Is Pretty Sweet

————-

Showing they haven’t lost their touch for creating exciting verse, the newest full trailer for the sixth installment in The Fast and Furious franchise is beyond curious. It truly continues the franchise’s act for creating an action force all its own. Again proving hands down that hey, when the mixture works, why mess with it. Enjoy below…

2. The Shadow Cabal Is Awesomely Gutsy

————-

So some fantasy fans are working toward making their own epic projects. Are we intrigued? Most certainly yesHaving reached its fundraising goal on Kickstarter last December, this full feature from Arrowhead Entertainment offers quite a bit of potential just in its ambitious trailer alone. The site’s description reads:

“Arrowstorm Entertainment are independent filmmakers committed to providing high-quality entertainment in the science fiction and fantasy genres.”

The Shadow Cabal looks to be an impressive step in that very direction. And who doesn’t want to cheer for such brave new talent? Their original Kickstarter trailer below.

 3. This Week’s Films The Strongest In Months

————-

You’ll swear it’s Summer with this week’s surprisingly strong line-up. The latest Die Hard drops, but also a couple impressive gems in Beautiful Creatures and Safe Haven. Off their strong marketing alone, these concept based projects provide the perfect fit to A Good To Die Hard’s franchise appeal.

While Escape From Planet Earth looks to be the odd film out (not as strong in concept as the other offerings), expect quite a few records to drop.

Below, check out their strongest trailers.

…impressive gems? All three are being roundly panned. Die Hard is viewed as the weakest of the bunch by a long shot, even with the return to an R rating. Beautiful Creatures is being written off as just the latest supernatural love story pap except with an inexplicable dose of Bewitched, of all things. And Safe Haven is getting booed and having things thrown at the screen for the inane twist at the end.

The might have strong opening weekends, but all three are going to completely tank as word of mouth gets around; especially Safe Haven.

Of the three, Beautiful Creatures is the only one likely to have any legs, and that’s just because the tweens need a Twilight fix.
