“Lion King 3D” will extend historic box office run.

Lion King 3D will continue in theaters.

After posting yet another top finish at the weekend box office, Walt Disney has announced it will extend the run of Lion King 3D from a two week run to a longer limited theater engagement (which basically means it keeps running at their discretion for as long as it makes money).

No set timetable has been set for how long the engagement will last, but it will be in theaters for audiences to enjoy for at least one more week.

The extended theater engagement will not affect Disney’s planned Lion King Blu-ray release date set for October 4.

Without a doubt, The Lion King will always be popular. I think it would have reached number 1 without the addition of 3d, it’s just a film with universal appeal. Thanks from Lion King Tickets London for this post.
